    Society for Human Resource Management
    The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 210,000 individual members, the Society's mission is to serve the needs of HR professionals by providing the most essential and comprehensive resources available. As an influential voice, the Society's mission is also to advance the human resource profession to ensure that HR is recognized as an essential partner in developing and executing organizational strategy. Founded in 1948, SHRM currently has more than 550 affiliated chapters and members in more than 100 countries.

    The HR Florida Review magazine provides timely information to all of HR Florida State Council's Chapter Membership and SHRM non-chapter membership totaling over 12,000 directors and managers in Human Resources.     International Personnel Management Association
    IPMA-HR is an organization that represents the interests of human resource professionals at the Federal, State and Local levels of government. Our goal is to provide information and assistance to help HR professionals increase their job performance and overall agency function by providing cost effective products, services and educational opportunities.

     

    College and University Personnel Association
    CUPA-HR provides global leadership to the higher education human resources profession and the higher education community by offering essential knowledge, resources and connections that enhance individual and institutional capacity and competitiveness.

     

    Human Resource Planning Society
    The Human Resource Planning Society, a not-for-profit organization headquartered in New York City, has been the premier global association and network of senior human resource executives and thought leaders for over 25 years. The majority of the 3,000 plus members of HRPS represent firms of $500 million or more in annual sales, with the balance of the membership representing smaller firms, partners and senior consultants from global HR consulting firms, and leading university faculty and researchers.

    Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI)
    EBRI is the only accepted neutral authority promoting the understanding and furtherance of employee benefits national policy. It is not organized as a lobbying organization. The EBRI mission is to contribute to, to encourage, and to enhance the development of sound employee benefit programs and public policy through objective research and education. To accomplish the mission all parties have to be willing to rely upon our work. EBRI does not represent; it does research and education.

     

    Florida Commission on Human Relations
    The Commission is the state agency charged with enforcing the state’s civil rights laws and serves as a resource on human relations for the people of Florida. It is against Florida law to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status or familial status. The Commission investigates complaints in the areas of areas of employment, housing, public accommodations and state employee whistle-blower retaliation.
     

    The Commission is responsible for promoting fair treatment, equal opportunity and mutual respect among members of all economic, social, racial, religious and ethnic groups and works to eliminate discrimination against groups and their members.

    Bureau of Labor Statistics
    The BLS is the principal fact-finding agency for the Federal Government in the broad field of labor economics and statistics. The BLS is an independent national statistical agency that collects, processes, analyzes, and disseminates essential statistical data to the American public, the U.S. Congress, other Federal agencies, State and local governments, business, and labor. The BLS also serves as a statistical resource to the Department of Labor.

    Employee Benefits Security Administration
    EBSA protects the integrity of pensions, health plans, and other employee benefits for more than 150 million people.

     

    Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
    The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is the federal agency responsible for enforcing employment discrimination laws.

     

    EEOC Training Institute
    The Training Institute provides a wide variety of training programs to help employers understand, prevent and correct discrimination in the workplace. Experience and learn from the authorities on EEO law.

     

    National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)
    The National Labor Relations Board is an independent federal agency created by Congress in 1935 to administer the National Labor Relations Act, the primary law governing relations between unions and employers in the private sector. The statute guarantees the right of employees to organize and to bargain collectively with their employers, and to engage in other protected concerted activity with or without a union, or to refrain from all such activity.
