    This program delves into the types and causes of Workplace Violence, the best plan of acting if/when such an event should occur, and how the workplace violence workers compensation injury can be handled to increase the likelihood of a successful return to work if/where possible.

    What you need to know: Workplace Violence

    • Attendees will have a basic understanding of the types of workplace violence and what employment sectors have the highest risks.
    • An increased knowledge base regarding what they can personally do if/when faced with an actual workplace violence situation.
    • Individuals educated in this course will have a grasp of what employers, insurance adjusters, physicians, and case managers can do to prevent workplace violence and/or to assist in the recovery of those who have been victimized in this way.
    • Those partaking in this class will have the ability to implement a multifaceted plan for facilitating return to work situations in workplace violence cases.
    • Students of this course will be able to apply the concepts introduced with regard to the handling of claims involving workplace violence.

     

    About the Speaker:

    Anastasia graduated from IU in 1991 with a nursing degree. Initially working in a hospital, life events Anastasia has over 25 years of experience in the Workers Compensation arena working primarily in the Case Management space.

    She has had the honor and privilege of speaking at many conferences about medical, ethical, and return to work solutions.

    Currently, Anastasia works for Carlisle Medical interacting with their multidisciplinary team, including Case Managers, Durable Medical Equipment Specialists, and Pharmacists to ensure that the care provided to our customers and their employees is exceptional.

    Anastasia also has a strong passion for her community, having previously served on an Ethics board for a hospital during her early nursing career, Anastasia further pursued this topic of study and currently works with the local homeless coalition. She hopes that you will find her presentation both interesting and informative.
