in the Workplace
Sabrina Permuth
Director of People Operations, Fitlife Foods
“A ship in a harbor is safe, but that’s not what ships are built for.” ~ John Shedo
How are you helping your employees sail their ships?
Introduction on how to initiate psychologically safe conversations in the workplace. Attendees will learn the “Sailboat Exercise” to use to improve workplacecommunication. This is a tool that can be used to positively navigate workplace conflict.
About the Speaker:
Sabrina Permuth grew up a military brat. She became very good at one thing, connecting people to other people. She joined Fitlife Foods in June 2020 as the first Director of People Operations. Her mission is to serve through collaboration with senior leadership on overall business strategy. She translates, drives, and implements strategy to achieve goals throughout each human capital team. She is responsible for preserving Fitlife’s unique culture of elevating the way people feel by overseeing recruitment, talent management and development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and HR programs.
Prior to joining Fitlife Foods, Sabrina graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, minoring in Marketing and Management. While the real focus is on growing work groups to cocreate solutions, Sabrina was accepted into FSU College of Law Juris Masters program and looks forward to receiving her law degree in 2026.
Her passion for people doesn’t end with each workday. Life has not been easy for the ones she has loved the most. Many have experienced trauma and severe life stressors. She learned to connect her loved ones with others who provide healing. Those lessons have translated into better workplace programs and conversations. Sabrina has volunteered for the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, Metropolitan Ministries, and served as a Board of Directors for Northside Behavioral Health. She believes we change the world by changing someone’s world.
