Training Presentation Topic:
Developing Mental Fitness to Grow Self-Confidence and Leadership Presence
About the Topic:
As Human Resources Professionals we have a responsibility to analyze and assess organizational practices that impact operations and people management. Perhaps more important is the need to develop an appropriate risk management strategy that abates the harmful practices identified. One of the greatest economic threats to our operations comes in the form of workplace stress. At a cost of more than $300B annually it impacts health, productivity, engagement, and relationships (foundational for thriving organizations). The most overlooked mitigation strategy: teaching ourselves and our employees how to be mentally fit. Most of us are aware of physical fitness and how important this is to our overall wellbeing. This presentation focuses on what mental fitness is, why it is important and how to build it. Using principles from neuroscience, positive and cognitive psychology, we will discuss how to develop our mental muscles.
Key Take-Aways:
-
Define mental fitness.
-
Identify why mental fitness is important.
-
Communicate how to build mental fitness, leveraging the FIT Model.
