About the Speaker: Dr. Martha Bireda

Martha Bireda has over thirty years’ experience as a consultant, trainer, and curriculum designer related to diversity issues, i.e., race, ethnicity, gender, social class. Her clients have included school districts, law enforcement, state agencies, corporations and organizations. She holds a B.A. and M.A. degree in Speech Pathology, an Ed.S. in Student Personnel Services, and Ph.D. in Counselor Education. Dr. Bireda is the author of ten books and is a frequent public speaker. She is a member of the boards of Do the Right Thing, Punta Gorda Historic Preservation Advisory Board, Punta Gorda Historical Society, and CAAAB.
