As social media continues to be a hot topic for employers, Attorney Mark Nieds of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., will bring attendees up to date on what employees may say about his/her workplace on social media without being reprimanded or disciplined.  He will also share some war stories of how social media comes into play in litigation.

About the Speaker:

Mark Nieds practiced law for over 20 years in Chicago before joining Henderson Franklin in 2015. He concentrates his practice on intellectual property with an emphasis on trademark selection, registration, enforcement and litigation, copyright, and trade secret protection. He also handles internet-related legal issues, assisting clients with the creation and implementation of privacy policies, terms of use agreements, user agreements and DMCA compliance. Mark provides updates on copyright, patent and trademark law for the firm’s Southwest Florida Business & IP Bulletin Blog.
